SATURDAY MATINEE: A NIGHT AT THE MOVIES!

Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM
Thayer Arena

Every year, Warwick Figure Skaters presents their annual ice show so that our skaters can demonstrate, to their family and friends, all of their skating accomplishments. The following information will be beneficial to our many new members and a refresher for members who have performed in previous shows.

There will be two shows on Saturday, March 23. One at 1:00 and one at 6:00 - each show is estimated to last approximately 2-3 hours. All skaters will perform in both shows.

Registration is now closed for this season's Annual Show.

Practices:

Show practices will begin after the conclusion of Winter Learn to Skate sessions. There will be 3 practices for each group. Please make every effort to attend all 3 practices in fairness to all skaters and coaches involved. Notices will be posted onthe bulletin boards and via registration email to let skaters know the groups to which they are assigned and their practice schedule.

Please note that some groups may share practice ice.

Click here for the most updated practice schedule. Please check back, as schedule times may change.

Dress Rehearsal:

Dress rehearsal is manditory. It will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024. The rehearsals will be 4:00 - 5:00 pm for soloists and 5:00 - 6:30 pm for 1st half group numbers, and 6:30 - 8:00 pm for 2nd half group numbers. Times are approximate and subject to change. Please read all emails.

Parents

All skaters will be provided a parent pass at dress rehearsal during check in. The ticket has your child's name and group number. It is extremely important that you have your parent pass with you and do not lose it. You will need it to pick up your child at the security drop-off point after each Saturday performance. A parent or legal guardian is expected to remain on premises throughout dress rehearsal and each show performance.

Volunteer Hours and SafeSkate

To ensure the safety of all participants, only skaters and SafeSkate certified individuals are allowed in locker rooms, in the stands with skater groups, and behind the security check point - absolutely no exceptions. SafeSkate certified individuals are available to assist skaters as necessary.

Each Above Basic family is required to volunteer a total of 4 hours per contractual year. WFS offers 3 events to fulfill this requirement. The Holiday Show, The Annual Show, and the Ocean State Open.  A volunteer sign up will be released for the Annual Show in the coming weeks via email.
